FOLLUO WEEKLY MAY 13-17, 2013

READING STREET UNIT #5 WEEK 6 continued

THEME:   AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES


WHAT'S HAPPENING:

1. No paper homework to turn in this week! Of course students need to spend time each night reading and working on our Folluo Weekly special assignment.




2. Also, the Summertime learning program workbooks are available in the school office. Check Wednesday packet for details. I highly recommend this program to ensure a successful transition to first grade.



3. Wednesday, May 15th, our class has a free dress purchased by Austin Martin’s parents at the auction – thanks, Martins!



4. Thursday, May 16th will be free dress for those families contributing $5 for the Capital Campaign Fund.



5. Friday, May 17th is Super Kids Day – Spirit Dress – tennis shoes with socks. There will be an opportunity to buy snacks and drinks for 50¢ and 75¢.

WHAT'S HAPPENING:

1. Scholastic ½ Price Book Fair is this week in the Parish Hall. Check Wednesday packet for details – a good opportunity to buy books for summer reading!




2. Wednesday, May 8th our class will have free ice cream at lunch as a reward for Entertainment Book contest.



3. Thursday, May 9th is our Tulsa Shock field trip. Please send a sack lunch with drink.



4. Friday, May 10th is the 8th Grade Shakespeare in the Park at lunch. The cafeteria will be closed so parents, send a lunch with drink if you can’t join us! We will be on the northwest side of the church at 10:55 a.m. Bring blanket and lawn chair.
